Guess I am second. 47% downloaded. Reeeeeeeaaaaaallllly looking forward to it and hoping the game play is more realstic. Been buying it since your very first version (10 MB total size and was 98 i think) but the last couple of times being promising myself that NO MORE since the game play doesn't improve as much as expected but here we are. Already paid and almost finished with the download.

Hey. Dont the first 10 buyers get it for free?:D

I haven't visited the ICC site or even played the game since the start of the year, and then all of a sudden, last night I started thinking about ICC 2010. Then what happens? The game's released hours later. :D

Just browsing through the new features now... looks like there are some nice new additions.

That kinda happened with me too, I hadn't been on the ICC website for a few months, go on, and Sureshot's just created a subforum for the game :D

The game is a Windows only application. There are applications on Mac which can make Windows applications work, but we cannot support playing the game in this way, so it is at your own behest if you choose to do so.

Hi there,

Great that this has been released. However, I know you intend to release the game on psp and I saw you mention this in one of the other threads Sureshot. Can you tell use when this will happen and how much it will cost? Much appreciated.

Very impressed so far. Very realistic. South Aus suck. Ferguson and Klinger shining lights in a sea of darkness.... Oh, and Tait too. When he isn't hit for 60+ runs. Will the retired from........ only be for existing players?

We have no further news on the PSP and iPhone developments other than they are still in development, unfortunately.

Tis very good; a big improvement really. Especially with the contract system.

Two minor things that make the game better would be an overhaul of the fields and the scrapping of the penalty for skipping.

For the fields for starters we need specialised T20 fields as the default ones are more aimed towards First Class and ODI cricket. For example the most defensive default field which you can start the innings with has 2 slips which you aren't going to see in a T20 in most situations.

Likewise I think that the fields are also too agressive for First class matches aswell as if you go defensive you still have 2 slips whereas you'd expect them to have one if any. I'd also say that the fields on the more aggressive side are probably too aggressive aswell.

I think it would help if the default ones were adjusted abut perhaps a better option would be to allow the user to change the default fields so that they have the default fields set how they want. It would save alot of time at every bowling change as currently I have to manually change it to the fields that I have created.

On the second point I just think its needed because of the sheer amounts of T20 matches get somewhat tedious especially when, like myself, prefer First Class matches.

Unfortunately I personally feel it is essentially the same game with a slightly different contract system and a DB update.

Things still sorely lacking or below standard (IMO):
Training & coaching
Field settings
GUI
Statistics - both number of, and historical storage of
Finance

Other areas that need to be better but are the same as previous years, but less important:
Pretty much all of the highlights - ball flight, batsmen's shots, fielding
Commentary

Very disappointing

I brought up the field setting point with Sureshot during Testing, but pretty much the issue is if they were to change that this late, it would produce a higher chance of the code becoming corrupt and unstable, thus taking longer to release. So it is something they have put on the to do list for 2011 I believe.

On the T20, I agree with you. Not a big fan of them, but unfortunately the boards of Cricket around the world love it because it brings them money, and they schedule a lot of them into the calendar. Thus ICC2010 needs to reflect this to maintain the realism aspect of the game.

Keep in the mind the game is developed with less than a dozen people, working round the clock and on a budget which would be about the average person's salary.
So the improvements they have made considering the major major barriers is quite impressive.

If they had a multi-million dollar backing like the bigger companies, then it would be fair to expect a huge improvements with a limitless list of features.

Congrats on getting the game out fellas. Will buy it as soon as uni exams are over, which is less than 2 weeks away. Hopefully a patch is out by then, but I'll buy regardless.

Patch will certainly be out by then, hopefully within a day or two.

I think the game is amazing but i was expecting some kind of league of t20 like IPL in which we would buy players(auction) name our teams like ROCKERS OR ANYTHING... this game should have a league in 2011 and compared to CC this game is much better well i like both the games but this one is what i love and dont get bored with and 3rd graphics make it look fabulous ICC 2010 ROCKZZZ.... ONE question : can we buy this game only in dollars and pounds or in other currencies can i buy this game in indian rupees:confused: but i have to say that this game is just like the previous versions just fixed some bugs and added australian cricket but still it is very exciting hooo i love this game ..i love childishthings

For the moment, it is only available in US dollars, we should have a pound sterling account set up soon, but you can buy in US dollars from any country in the world on this system, accepted payment methods include PayPal and the major credit/debit cards, I believe i have listed them in the price thread. I can't really say anything about other currencies other than we are looking in to it.

Just bought the game, and loving the new features, especially the Australian leagues and added emphasis on the bidding and contract processes - it's what makes Cricket Captain so different and much more realistic and enjoyable than other cricket games. The dedication to patches and further improving the game is also a major incentive; hopefully the series will go leaps and bounds in the years to come as well. I would love to see more domestic leagues added - a South African domestic setup would be a wonderful step forward. Kudos to the team for your fervour and dedication to this great series!

Hey, First of all, /congrats for such a great improved version for ICC. Unfortunately I was not able to play it on my laptop. After installation, when I tried to play it, it keeps breaking.

Laptop Config:
Name : compaq presario A900
duel core processor
2GB RAM
160DB HDD

I'd guess the problem is related to it's integrated graphics card. By "breaking", can you describe it?

no you have to start a new game.

It will update a game, but the database changes won't be changed. So any bugs will be fixed.
