Hello, I was just wondering is there something that gives away the fact that the bowler is going to take a wicket as he is running in? 9/10 times when ive got highlights on i just know that its going to be a wicket as soon as i see the start of the highlight, its annoying because I dont wana no if its a wicket or not thats why I put the highlights on in the first place.
Thanks

Not that I know of, maybe you're just good at guessing?

This may be very cheeky. But have you just got the highlights on wickets only?

I notice this as well. The fielders half jump up before the ball is bowled when a wicket is going to happen on ICC III. It doesn't happen every time though, but everytime they start to celebrate early you know it's a wicket.

I concur. The way I tell is that the highlights come on immediately when you press the "Next Over" button. That obviously depends on your processor speed, but for me, even when my computer's running quickly, it's noticeable; when it's a boundary etc., there's a small pause before the highlights come on. I can't tell all the time - especially if there are multiple highlights in an over - but I can most of the time. Incidentally, the same effect happens when you successfully chase a target.

I get that too! I have it on so it shows plays and misses, boundaries and wickets/dropped catches + close calls for LBW and milestones (50's + 100's) and I don't know what it is exactly but it sorta clicks to the screen really fast and now 9/10 times I can say that a wicket will fall before the bowler releases the ball.

Sorry Jim, that was quite a condescending post from me.

It seems a few of you are having the same problem regarding to the speed of the clip when a wicket falls. I think throughout the ICC series I've always remembered the clips with wickets being slightly different to runs, chances, etc.
