I believe that the current general network play is relatively week and needs a bit of an overhaul. I know there is never more than 6 users on at its most busiest period which seems to be around the time of 1700 gmt. There are several factors as to why this is not a preferred method of gameplay for the icc2008 user.

1) The current league is shambles so to say the least. This is due to the fact that at the time of release of the game there were a few hitches with crashing in the 2nd innings which resulted in a disc for the user and his team which costs points. There should be about 7 leagues with promotion and relegation on a weekly basis so there is something realistic to fight for. A team in division 1 might play someone in division 5 so if the division 1 side won he or she (for your equal rights and all that) should only get 2 points for winning and if the division 5 team should get more.

2) There should be tables for individuals performances online, for instance highest score best bowling and it should state which team the individual is from.

3) Maybe even get involved in some round robin tournaments as well

These are a few ideas anyhow, get involved if think what i have said makes sense

Thanks for the ideas, the guys involved with ICC 2009 will definitely take this into account!

I have thought about the possibility of setting up a big on-line tournament. Given this year is the Ashes, who knows. Would be great to be able to say, "We hosted a tournament with a 100 people!"

Sounds good SS, I'm, sure we can get a proper one set up for next year and get Chris behind it too.
