Hey I was just wondering what technique training is best to assign to young bowlers that have just come through the youth team? Also whats best for batsman as well?
Thanks

I believe that general technique is best for improving overall ability in either form, but if you have a bowler who is too expensive in limited overs then defensive bowling is good. Or if the bowler is quite economical but not taking enough wickets, aggressive is a good option.

Indeed - I'd also use general technique in most situations.

One more thing, Sounds strange but I have a spin bowler that is ecomical in odis but expensive in first class games, should I train his accuracy or something because its quite confusing lol.

Depends, I'd say maybe the bowler is accurate but doesn't spin it much?

How much variety with field settings, angle of attack and line and length do you do between the two formats?

well in first class i have an attacking field till the batsman is settled then i go to normal and i usualy just keep the field on normal in odi

I just bowl at whatever length the batsman prefers least (i.e. if he prefers front-foot shots, I'll set either a good length or back of a length; if he prefers back-foot shots, I'll set either a good length or full length).
