Wondering if there are any screen shots anywhere.. Further to this, the game must change in this version or an avid fan will leave.

I have been praying for a total recors overhaul since version 1, we need a Wisden type stat out!

Im praying!, coz Im fed up with writing everything down!

I realy can't see this version being much differnet. It will be interesting to see how much notice they have taken of what the customer wants to see in the game.

I buy every one of these. Still play ICC2002 (because you can put your own photo's in - the biggest nerf to immersion the game has had imo)

I will be bitterly dissapointed (again) if there are no MAJOR game play additions.

Specific coaching, 3d graphics (not as smooth in animation or as "characterfull" as the 2d ones) and updated database is all I can see as improvement in nearly 12 years.

Against that, the coaching WAS more detailed in the original ICC (could train a player nets and skill at the same time) - the lovely 60x70 bitmaps are gone ( i know you can't licence the real ones, but giving us a place holder to put our own in would be nice) and as I mentioned above, I prefer the older highlights (you can "forgive" more in 2d - imagination takes over. Whereas the lego man animation of the 3d, and the "Police 5" stuck on faces takes a lot away from the immersion for me)

If the original ICC still ran (it doesn't seem to like Vista) then it'd be a toss up to whether I thought 2008 or the original was better.

I (hope) I am measuring ICC against it's peers when I make these criticism's
i.e other text based sports sims.

Every year FM gets more and more complex (too complex now - I don't think any manager has to do what you sometimes need to do in FM).This comparison may be unfair SI has a huge fanbase and developement team behind it

OOTP9 (a 1 man core development text based sports sim, a guy I have worked with once or twice in the past called Marcus) is staggeringly good. The first iteration came out about the same time as ICC. Type OOTP9 into Google and see what the game is like now. Go back to OOTP 6 to see what this game was like prior to the devs joining SI (not much different, they used to SI database tools in 7 and 8). OOTP development severed links with SI over a year ago now

CC2007, (a 1 man dev team, Oli, Glenn having left to join SI) although not leaps ahead of ICC still endevours to add new features and game elements every iteration.
If ICC doesn't pull something out of the bag this iteration, my feeling is CC will surpass it this year, and within a year or two be so far ahead that ICC is a distant memory

ICC should be the bees knees by now. I still like ICC2002 (in in season 2127 - my 126th season in charge or Worcestershire), but really wish the game would evolve a lot faster than it is. This could be it's last chance before the competition leaves it behind...fingers crossed.

I agree entirely with the abobe remarks, including being more a fan of the old graphics. Had they have shown more deviation and different outcomes I would have been more impressed.

OOTP is an amazing game and indeed has come on in leaps and bounds and I have judged ICC with this, its not right.

If there is another game out there that is in competition with this what is it so I can check it out please.

Is there any news about ICC2009? has it been released or not?
