The thing is that most of the time a Man of the Match goes to the player who scores the most runs:mad:

Really, that would be quite a redundant thing to include. It's not an important statistic. Does anyone look that up in real life? (cause I don't see cricinfo storing any stats on this) There are better improvements that could be made.

This would be better, having a summary of the "highest so and so" and "best average" etc. for each series and World Cup.

In my opinion, the recording of the most man of match performances would be futile, as the only real use is in showing off how good your player is.

The efforts of the development team should be better spent making the Man Of The Match award more dynamic. But I can see how difficult this would be, because you really need to take in the value of an effort, which is hard to do in a game.

But I agree its skewed to the batsman's favour. I once took 9-26 and 4-89 with Cameron White, and won the game comfortably, but the MOM went to Clarke, who got 82 and 44* (top scored in both innings).
Personally, I woulda given it to Whitey

We have to hope for the best.

the winning tea should then be able to pick who gets it!
Reward your own players for top performance.

team not tea... lol

Well then the computer picks 3 of the best performances in the game (your team) and the player can pick one out of the 3, this could also mean the player gets better with each win.. (gets more confident) it means every game is vital. . .and thats why the comp you give you the option of the 3 best performances. Then the computer should pick the man of the series based on the MOTM winners.
Its an idea that would improve the game play.. and fun.

But then me thinks, how does it occur in real life? Officials make the decision, not the players.
It's a very tough one, one of those I think in the end is best left as it is, because it will become way too complicated and frustrating

In tv covered matches, the commentary team normally choose, but if it is not covered, quite often it isn't even awarded... i think...

but this isn't real life its a computer game. .and its a small tweak to give the captain alittle extra to think about in team building and performance.
