I know it's too late to request changes for ICC 09 but I really hope something has been done about the way players bat when they're on 0 or 1 bars. Too many times you see players (who are often not aggressive players) getting out playing big expansive shots when you're trying to play for a draw. Also going for crazy runs that no one would dream of going for when playing for a draw, and getting run out by miles.

That does happen in real life. Pressure plays on different people, in different ways. First time I've seen it mentioned in here, so I'll say it's not been noticed by others who play the game.

I think what you've got to remember that this is only a game, and there are a limited amount of animations for a wicket.

The guys aren't going to be able to programme such things as a tail-ender backing away to square leg to avoid a fast bowler and edging him or getting cleaned up.

I never take the way the animation shows my batsman getting out as an indication of him playing the wrong shot. All I care about is that the wicket has fallen, and it's down to good bowling/fielding or bad batting.

You could still have players on very defensive getting bowled or caught behind though, instead of neing caught at long on.

And yes, I've noticed this as well.

I've noticed this too. not only the way they get out, but sometimes I put a player on 1 or no bars, and they score at a run a ball when all I want them to do is block and give the strike to the other batter!

if i put players on 1 bar or less going for a draw i can almost guarantee most of them will get out caught in the deep. its VERY annoying

yeh icclover is right, quite frequently ill be playing for a draw and have my players on 0-1 aggression bars and they will score at a run a ball. this makes no difference to my decision to buy the next game but it would be nice if it was rectified. :)

Yeah this is something that does happen. It's no biggie so probably why people haven't mentioned it. Hopefully that is another minor thing that gets rectified

i found its not worth playing with 0 or 1 bar.. most of the time the batsmen are more likely get out anyway.
