hi every1.. dis is my 1st post here and i just wanted to ask a quick question about the 3D engine.

I use to be a keen follower of the ICC series, and ive played alot of the past games where we had the 2D engine. And i really liked it when it was 2D. the last game to be 2D was the 06 ashes edition. Since then i havent really brought it due to the 3d engine.

But i am just basing my opinions on the demo i played of the 08 and 07 ICC games.

But now i want to go back to the game so i just wanted to ask for all who have actually played the full proper games.. how is the 3D engine? in terms of graphics and just genereally? because i found in the demo that it use to take me more time to actually finish a game when idd have the highlight option on... which i personally prefer considerin sme1 like afridi or sehwag is batting! Having said this i cant base my views on just a demo.. so i thought if someone whos played the latest games could just give me some insight to the 3D gameplay idd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I really like the 3D engine and think that it adds something to the game. The graphics are alright, but they could be better. They do not detract anything from the game though, because the action is smooth and works well. The other day I realised that I still had 2005 Ashes Edition, and I got it out and played it for 5 minutes, but I found that I could not really easily adjust back to the old 2d system. It might not look that good to start with, but you can see spin really easily with this along with the ball tracker, and as long as you do not overuse it and don't watch the umpire signal four every time, it shouldn't annoy you.

Personally, I just view wickets in Championship games, 4s and Chances when batting in OD matches and Chances when bowling in OD matches. That's all up to your preferences though.

i really enjoy the 3d engine. I think it makes the game feel that bit more authentic, although i still enjoyed the game even when it was 2d.

yeah its just added alittle bit more too the game play... nothing wrong with the 2d had many house of fun but you can do a lot more with the 3d more shots.. and people diving around.
