I just installed ICC 2006 on my current x64 system (Intel Core2 Duo processor P7450, 4GB PC2-6400 DDR2 memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9800) and had noticed it that it was running on abnormally high levels, often running to 100% processing power and being extremely slow on numerous occasions, mostly when moving across different menus (such as going in and out of a match, going into the interval screen and so on) and almost freezing at certain moments. This was completely different from my previous system, an ancient Pentium 4 with just 256 MB of memory running Windows XP x32, where it had run like a dream and very smoothly indeed; I recall having had great fun with it.
All other games that I play, which are far more resource-heavy, such as Assassin's Creed and Football Manager 2009 (with 37 leagues), run perfectly on my current x64 system and with very little processing power, even at maximum graphics and data, so I'm surprised at seeing ICC 2006 running like this.
I haven't yet played ICC 2008 or any other version of ICC on this system; however, I am looking to buy ICC 2009 when it comes out and would like to know whether it will run smoothly on a x64 Vista system prior to getting it. Has 2009 been tested on x64 Vista and will this issue not be present? Many thanks, and apologies if this has been raised before. I'd also like to offer my sincere gratitude to the great team behind Childish Things and wish them the greatest of success with this amazing series -- I am sure it will scale even greater heights in the years to come. :)
