Hello my fellow cricket managers. I was hoping someone out there could help me in tactics for any form of the game i.e. 4-day, 50/40/20 over one day games.

I started off as the Surrey manager on normal level and got through it ok, I like this game but i like it more when im winning so I decided to manage Essex at easy level and got promoted to Div 1. In Div 1 im having trouble posting large scores and taking loads of wickets and i think its down to my bowling and batting tactics...obviously.

for bowling, when the batter likes it on leg side i bowl offside and vice versa, if they like front foot I bowl short and if they like back foot I bowl long. For bowling against lefties I tend to go around the wicket which seems to work more than going over the wicket. Can someone tell me if im doing the right thing here or not? lastly.....I usually leave the agressiveness at nornal unless its limited overs and then i change to defensive bowling. With these tactics, Kaneria took 128 first class wickets in a season which isnt bad but in Div 1 its a different story.

Thanks
