What effect does general technique training have on young players, is it worthwhile training general technique or is it better off training things individually, eg: accuracy, aggressive shots etc
Cant figure any of this training out so any advice on anything training related would be appreciated.

Technique training is more useful to the development of young players up to the age of 24-25.
If a batsman has a strong preference for either pace or spin, I'd be tempted to try and balance that out more. If you're happy with his preferences, general technique is the one to go for.
If you're prepping a young bowler up as a OD bowler, accuracy and defensive bowling are important. If he's a test prospect, aggression would be good. If you're happy with the way he is, then general technique is the one to go for.

hmm.. interesting...
i on other hand was giving general training to every youngster around 20's to 22. Only after that do i start focusing on particular aspects of batting and bowling.

Nothing wrong with general technique. Still very useful.
