Not giving NO BALLS for incorrect fielding placing

Hi

I may be incorrect but as I remember one must have at least 3 fielders on the leg side. Take a look at the screenshot to see the field placing for my RHB. Only 2 fielders on on side yet no NO BALLS called.

Your thoughts please.

P.S. Was I correct in making a new thread? This wouldn't go under bugs would it?

No you can have a maximum of 5 on the leg side, but there's no minimum. You can do 7-2 (Australia regularly used this for McGrath in Tests), or even 8-1 (refer England vs. M Clarke, 2005, Lords).
You are only allowed 2 max behind square on the leg side. Perhaps you got yourself confused with that,

No worries mate. International Cricket Captain has always prided itself on being technically correct, and as close to real life rules and regulations as possible. It's one of the main reasons its one of the best games in the world.

well actually there is a bug in the game...

i have seen people place all their fielders on the boundary (in online play) but there is no no ball given...

this is certainly a bug in the game that needs to be eliminated..

Indeed, we had noticed this before the game got released. But with everything that was happening, and how tight the time constraints were (think of a ridiculously short time span, then scribble it out, write something even more stupid, and that's what it was like releasing for 09! :)). It was too risky a fix for a patch. We wanted to try and do it, but realistically it was just too risky to do and we didn't want to do more damage to the game. One for the 2010 fix list.

certainly sureshot... this is no doubt the best version ever but if some if these minor things are eliminated it would be awesome...

it would be a good idea to have the no-ball rule implemented in the next version... and because the gameis generally played on an over-to-over basis, the only other fix that will be needed is that if a player does not know that he is violating the field placing rule, after the no ball is given, the over is halted and the player is given an opportunity to fix his field placement...

It'd work how it currently does if you try to have too many fielders outside the ring, it doesn't let you choose that field.
